Software
Development Engineer (hardware-oriented)

Your tasks
- Evaluating
the properties of HDRC®-based
cameras
- Developing
image processing algorithms for image optimization
and improvement
- Verifying functions using PC-based development
tools (Matlab, C++...)
- Optimizing the algorithms to the hardware
requirements with porting in mind (DSP/FPGA)
- Documenting the developed algorithms
Your profile
You
should have successfully completed a technical
or scientific training,
preferably a course in
the field of mathematics/physics, electrical
or software engineering, or have comparable vocational
experience. A background in image processing
and knowledge of electronics (DSP, FPGA, ASIC),
the technology used in CCD and CMOS cameras,
and/or driver assistance systems, preferably
in the automotive and/or supplier industry, would
be advantageous. Experience in hardware-oriented
programming (embedded systems) on µC, DSP,
FPGA as well as algorithm and software development
(C/C++, Matlab/Simulink, Assembler and/or VHDL)
is expected. Awareness of the requirements in
the car industry and embedded systems, such as
bus systems or “OSEK“ operating systems,
would be a plus. You should be able to grasp
complex scenarios analytically, utilizing them
to develop technical solutions. A command of
written and spoken English is indispensable in
this position.
